It's Coming...

As sadden as we are here at EOD over the tremendous damage to the public domain due to this week's northeaster, we shudder to think that for the next few months that we will, again, be subjected to endless dialogue and blabbering from some of our elected officials (Dare County Commissioner Warren Judge, Kill Devil Hillls Mayor Ray Sturza, Nags Head Mayor Renee Cahoon, and others) about how we should spend millions of dollars for beach nourishment to protect the private domain of private investors all along our shoreline.  Call us what you will, but we think it's more than most sensible people should have to listen to.

It will be really interesting to see how much of that $20 million in sales tax money we were forced to pay for 6 months...that is sitting in the Dare County government bank account...and protected by Chairman Judge, like it's his own private nest egg....that Judge will be willing to cough up to help pay for some of the necessary cleanup of the beaches...Our bet is zilch ....He's holding on to YOUR MONEY...waiting for the "big beach nourishment Guru in the Sky to rain federal/state monies down upon us....We say..."don't hold your breath", Commissioner Judge!
Yes, folks....that's a swimming pool you see in the photo, sitting in the surf
Believe it or not
And Judge wants to use your tax dollars to see that this doesn't happen again.
Duhhh????
